Tuesday a new group of retreat guests arrived, all from Chicago! The retreat was in collaboration with Dew Society – a Wellness PR firm for artists, instructors & practitioners. Six lovely ladies joined us for the week and ran their own schedule of activities at the Chateau. I had the opportunity to shift my role this week to be the transporter (train station, winery, thermal baths) and focus on “house witch” practices, which is now how I am listed on the website!
And what a week to focus on all things woo! Lionsgate on August 8th (8-8) is a powerful portal of manifestation and setting the tone for rebirth for the next chapter/book. For my own self, I am tapping into my desire to continue with the type of work I have found here at the Chateau. I am holding safe space for women to connect with their inner wisdom and intuition, exposing them to tools that I have been gathering in my toolbox to create magic in their lives, and being a sounding board to witness the dreams that they hold in their hearts. It is the work I have been dreaming about for years. For this super powerful manifesting portal I am doubling down and collaborating with the Universe to bring me more opportunities.
The retreat was a collaboration of several facilitators who brought sound (crystal sound bowls) and movement (dance!) to the Chateau in beautiful and inspiring ways. We took advantage of the Lionsgate portal to add some witchy magic in the form of a fire to transform the things that no longer serve us and manifestation dinner to bring in our heart’s desire. The sound healing while floating in the pool was a fun highlight, as was the history of disco dance night by moonlight. So much inspiration came from this group of dynamic women. I decided to enroll in a sound healing certification course in October. And coming soon – I have been invited to collaborate on a workshop in Chicago! Thank you, Universe for opening the doors for new opportunities!
During the week I was invited to hold sessions for retreat guests and co-volunteers. We read oracle and tarot cards, cut cords from the things that no longer serve us in our next chapters to leave them behind, and explored three past lives in regression sessions. It was a week full of witchy fun and I enjoyed it immensely. I had been concerned about how I would contribute to the household this week because I wasn’t teaching my normal load of yoga classes. However, this week was full and fulfilling and amazing.
The upcoming week is without guests, offering more opportunity to do projects around the Chateau. There is another heat wave (less severe) coming mid-week. We are going to take the opportunity to go to the river on the hottest day. We are going to take the opportunity of the new moon on Wednesday to star gaze and watch the meteor shower. Also on Wednesday we will be able to see some of the solar eclipse!
